Millhouse Art Gallery

The Millhouse Art Society operates the Millhouse Art Gallery at the Courtyard Studios in Milton.  We hold four exhibitions each year, changing all artworks at the beginning of each season. Millhouse Art Society members are artists who appreciate the companionship of like minded people who enjoy sharing their painting skills with other members.  We meet as a group during the week in the Little Gallery (adjacent to the Main Gallery) and here we also conduct painting workshops.

Clyde River Berry Farm

Through December and January you can pick your own fresh blueberries at the Clyde River Berry farm.  You can also treat yourself to a berry ice-cream during your visit.

Pigeon House Mountain

This 6km walk is popular also.  The Mountain’s name dates back to 1770 when Captain James Cook noted “a remarkable peaked hill which resembled a square dovehouse with a dome on top and for that reason I called it Pigeon House”.  The climb to the top is not long but is steep and the track is well marked.

A popular walking track of 11kms it is suitable for those with a Medium level fitness and does have climb of nearly 800 meters.  The views you will experience are worth the challenge.

Narrawallee Inlet

The inlet is a popular spot on a sunny day with BBQ facilities a playground and toilets it is popular for families.  The sheltered inlet makes it easy to keep an eye on the little ones when they are cooling off in the water.

Matt Upson Gwylo’s head chef has a very impressive culinary profile, having trained in South Australia under Cheong Liew, Simon Bryant and Maggie Beer among others. In operation since 2009 the Gondwana Coast Fossil walk takes you on a guided tour of some artefacts from 270,000,000 years ago this walk is suitable for all ages.  The walk begins at the grassed picnic area near the Marine Rescue Headquarters.  Each walk takes about 2 hours and begins with a ‘hands on briefing’.

Warden Head Lighthouse

A great spot for spotting sea life and especially for whale watching in the spring, Warden head Lighthouse is approaching its 150th year. Originally built on the Ulladulla Breakwater in 1873, the light was shifted to Warden Head in 1879. It is one of only two towers in New South Wales made from wrought iron plates, making it a rarity.
